You Have Been Carrying This Long Enough

African Sacred Healing Touch for HSV+ Women, Trans, and Couples. Vancouver, BC and the Caribbean.

There is a particular kind of loneliness that comes with herpes. Not just the diagnosis. The feeling that your body has become something to manage rather than something to live in. That touch has become conditional. That pleasure has become complicated in ways you did not ask for and were not prepared for.

I know this. Not from a textbook. I have carried this virus for thirty-six years.

Who I Am:

My name is Christopher Scipio. I am a Registered Herbalist and Holistic Viral Specialist with twenty-three years of clinical practice in herpes management. I come from ten generations of African-Caribbean herbalists rooted in Trinidad and Tobago, and I have practised African Sacred Healing Touch for over forty years.

I work exclusively with women, trans clients, and couples. I have worked with HSV+ clients for over two decades. I understand what this virus does to a person’s relationship with their own body — because I have been through it myself, and because I have done my own healing in this territory. That relationship can be restored. I have seen it. I have lived it.

What This Work Is:

I offer two forms of healing touch work.

African Sacred Healing Touch is somatic healing bodywork rooted in ancestral African-Caribbean tradition. It works with the body directly — releasing what has been held, quieting what has been guarded, returning you to a relationship with your own skin that is not governed by the virus.

African Sacred Sexual Healing Touch is sacred work for those who are ready to reclaim their sexuality on their own terms. Sexuality is not separate from healing — it is part of it.

Both forms of work are available to HSV+ women, trans clients, and couples. Which is appropriate for you is something we establish together before we begin.

Nothing happens in this work without your explicit consent, at every stage. You set the boundaries. You hold them. I honour them. That is not a policy — it is how I practise.

Training:

I also teach African Sacred Healing Touch and African Sacred Sexual Healing Touch to those who want to learn how to give this work to their intimate partner.

You do not need to be HSV+ yourself. If your partner is living with herpes and you want to learn how to offer them healing touch that is informed, confident, and rooted in something real — I can teach you.

A session can be devoted entirely to training, entirely to receiving bodywork, or any combination of both. We decide together based on what you need.

Who This Is For:

This work is for women, trans men and trans women, and couples where at least one partner is living with HSV-1 or HSV-2. Whether you are coming to receive healing touch, to learn how to give it, or both — you are welcome here.

You do not need to have everything worked out before you reach out. You need only be willing to have an honest conversation.

Sessions and Formats:

I am based in Vancouver, BC. Clients come to me from across Canada, the United States, and around the world specifically for this work. You are welcome to do the same.

Local Vancouver Clients may book:

  • Regular 90-minute sessions
  • Half-day sessions (~3–4 hours)
  • Full-day sessions (~6–7 hours)
  • Five-day residential programmes

Clients Travelling to Vancouver may book:

  • Half-day sessions (~3–4 hours)
  • Full-day sessions (~6–7 hours)
  • Five-day residential programmes — five half-days of work, a daily integration conversation, and a written aftercare plan. Herbal remedies available separately. Accommodation is the client’s responsibility.

During the winter season, I am based in the Caribbean. I welcome clients there as well — the same formats are available, and for some people the healing lands differently when the setting itself is warm, unhurried, and far from home.

All formats are available for individuals and couples, and for any combination of receiving bodywork and training. Rates and booking details are shared privately after our initial conversation.

How to Take the Next Step:

I do not offer public booking for this work. Every client begins with a personal exchange.

If what you have read here speaks to you, tell me a little about where you are and what you are looking for.

There is no obligation beyond that first message.
